Skills update (1day)

This course is designed to update key skills and give first aiders and, or appointed persons the opportunity to revise and practice what they have learnt on previous courses.

It is designed to give updates on procedures and the opportunity to practice the following:

• Managing an incident
• Care of the Unconscious casualty
• CPR
• Disorders of the airway
• Dealing with bleeding and shock
• Causes of unconsciousness
• Burns and scalds
• Injuries to bones, ligaments & joints
• Recognition and management of major illnesses
• Communication and delegation in an emergency

Please note that this does not renew their certificate

Cost £400 plus VAT per course

Skills session (4 hours)

This is for first aid trained personnel, who have current certificates and wish to enhance/update their skills. It is designed to give updates on procedures and the opportunity to practice the following:

• Managing an incident
• Care of the Unconscious casualty
• CPR: alone and as part of a team
• Dealing with bleeding and shock
• Burns and scalds
• Head injuries
• Strokes
• Seizures
• Fractures
• Communication and delegation in an emergency

Cost £300 plus VAT per course
